One of our Associate Dr Victoria Sampson has designed This non-invasive test helps us identify harmful bacteria present in your mouth, which are responsible for causing inflammation and damage to your gums and supporting tissues. By detecting these bacteria early, we can tailor a treatment plan to target the root cause of the problem, helping to prevent further damage and maintain the health of your teeth and gums.

1. First Appointment: Dentist Assessment & Saliva Test
Your journey starts with a dental health assessment, where our dentist evaluates your oral health and diet to identify factors contributing to tooth decay. A saliva test is conducted during this 30-minute session to detect harmful bacteria and DNA markers that may influence your susceptibility to decay. Based on the results, appointments for fillings or crowns may be prescribed on the same day.
2. Second Appointment: Oral Health Training & Diet Consultation
In this 45-minute session with either a dentist or hygienist, you will receive detailed oral health training, including proper brushing and flossing techniques, alongside advice on diet to help reduce the risk of decay. The results of your saliva test will be analysed during this appointment, and we will create a personalized plan to improve your oral health and manage decay risk.
3. Third Appointment: Follow-Up & Saliva Test
A follow-up appointment will be scheduled within six months to recheck your oral health and redo the saliva test. This session allows us to track your progress, assess any changes in your oral microbiome, and adjust your treatment plan as needed.

This packagehelps patients better understand the vital connection between their oral microbiomeand their general and dental health, ensuring a more holistic approach to care.
Your journey begins with a 30-minute clinical examination, where we assess the healthof your gums. During this session, we conduct a saliva test to detect harmful bacteriaand DNA mutations that contribute to gum disease and tooth decay. Understandingthe balance of bacteria in your mouth is crucial, as your oral microbiome plays asignificant role in your overall health. This test allows us to tailor your treatment toprotect both your dental and systemic health.
Based on the findings from your clinical examination and saliva test, we will create acustomized treatment plan, which may include a series of Guided Biofilm Therapy(GBT) treatments. These treatments, provided by our hygienist or dentist, aim torestore your gum health by addressing harmful bacteria in the oral environment.
• Oral health training, teaching you effective brushing and water flossing techniques tomaintain a healthy oral microbiome.
• A GBT scale and polish treatment to remove biofilm and bacteria that contribute togum disease.
We may also prescribe a 3-month course of probiotics to help rebalance your oralmicrobiome and support your overall well-being.
A 30-minute review appointment will be scheduled within three months of your lastGBT treatment. During this session, we will reassess your gum health and perform another saliva test to track your progress and adjust your treatment plan if necessary.
